The / filesystem is mounted on /dev/ram0 and is 8Mb in size. This leaves about 600k to work in. If you would like to use some of the system ram as a second disk (this will not be persistent so is only good for temporary files) then you can mount a second 8Mb ramdisk as follows:
mount /dev/ram1 /tmp
Or, whichever mountpoint you would like.
